Pet-Friendly Camping on the Costa Dorada

Your dog is part of the family — why leave them behind? Camping La Noria welcomes pets on our camping pitches, so you can enjoy a Mediterranean beach holiday together. Torredembarra has its own dedicated dog beach with a water fountain and dog shower, scenic coastal walks on the GR-92, and a spacious campsite with room to breathe.

Why Choose La Noria

  • Pets welcome on all standard camping pitches
  • Dedicated dog beach in Torredembarra with water fountain, dog shower and off-leash area
  • GR-92 coastal path directly accessible for scenic dog walks
  • On-site supermarket stocking pet food
  • Flat, spacious campsite grounds for comfortable on-lead exercise
At Camping La Noria, pets are welcome on all standard camping pitches. You'll have space for your tent or caravan, a 6A electricity hook-up, and room for your dog to settle on the grass beside you. The campsite grounds are flat, well-maintained, and large enough for comfortable on-lead walks around the site. An important point to be upfront about: pets are not allowed in bungalows or mobile homes. This is a firm policy, so if you're travelling with a pet, you'll need to book a pitch and bring your own tent, caravan, or motorhome. Dangerous breeds and their crossbreeds are also not permitted on site. All dogs must be kept on a lead at all times within the campsite. Now for the good news. Torredembarra has a dedicated dog beach — the Platja per a Gossos — located at Platja de Barri Marítim, near Plaça de les Remendadores. This fully equipped beach area features a perimeter fence, a water fountain, a dog shower, waste bins, and informational signage. During the bathing season (June 1 to September 30), this is the designated area where dogs can enjoy the sea. Most dogs can go off-leash here, though potentially dangerous breeds must remain leashed and muzzled. Dogs using the beach must be microchipped, registered, and vaccinated. An important note about the nearest beach: Platja dels Muntanyans, just 150 metres from the campsite, holds Blue Flag status and dogs are not permitted there at any time of year. However, outside the bathing season (October to May), dogs are welcome on most other Torredembarra beaches. The GR-92 coastal path runs right past the campsite and offers scenic walks along the cliffs and coves between Torredembarra and Altafulla — your dog will love it year-round. The on-site supermarket stocks pet food, so you won't need to make a special trip into town. Torredembarra has a veterinary clinic within 10 minutes if needed. The campsite's sanitary blocks and common areas are kept clean, and fellow campers on the pitch areas tend to be understanding about well-behaved dogs. Spring and autumn are the best seasons for pet owners. The weather is warm without being dangerously hot for dogs (summer temperatures can exceed 30°C), the campsite is quieter, and your dog can access most beaches freely outside the summer bathing season. Bring your dog's EU pet passport (or European health certificate for non-EU visitors), a water bowl, and a lead. The rest — sunshine, sea air, and long coastal walks — is waiting for you.

Practical Tips

  • Travel in spring or autumn when temperatures are comfortable for dogs and most beaches allow dogs freely — summer heat above 30°C can be tough on pets
  • During the bathing season (June–September), head to the dedicated dog beach at Platja de Barri Marítim — it has a fountain, shower, and fenced off-leash area
  • Bring your dog's EU pet passport and make sure vaccinations and microchip are up to date — periodic checks are carried out at the dog beach

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I bring my dog if I book a bungalow?

No. Pets are only allowed on standard camping pitches — they are not permitted in any bungalow or mobile home. If you're travelling with a pet, you'll need to bring your own tent, caravan, or motorhome.

Are there any breed restrictions?

Yes. Dangerous breeds and their crossbreeds (as classified by Spanish law) are not permitted at the campsite. All other dogs are welcome on pitches but must be kept on a lead at all times within the campsite grounds. At the dedicated dog beach, potentially dangerous breeds must remain leashed and muzzled.

Can I take my dog to the beach?

Yes — Torredembarra has a dedicated dog beach (Platja per a Gossos) at Platja de Barri Marítim, equipped with a water fountain, dog shower, and fenced area. During the bathing season (June–September), this is the only beach where dogs are allowed. Most dogs can go off-leash there. Outside the bathing season, dogs are welcome on most beaches except Platja dels Muntanyans (Blue Flag) and the Paella beach dunes, where dogs are banned year-round.
